While pursuing an MBA, Alex saw an add value opportunity in investing in distressed companies, which led him to co-found HAN Capital in 2009. He was previously employed as an analyst in JP Morgan’s commercial banking program, where he focused on Credit Research and Analysis. In 2008, Alex was accepted into the University of Chicago MBA program where he concentrated in Entrepreneurship and Analytical Finance. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Science from DePaul University in Chicago, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2004.
While in business school, Nik joined his brother Alex to co-found HAN Capital with the objective of capitalizing on opportunities in distressed assets and companies. Previously, Nik was with Citadel Investment Group, a Chicago-based hedge fund, as an associate, where he performed Risk Management analysis and was involved in Equity and Derivative trading, among other things. In 2007, Nik was accepted into the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (currently The Booth School of Business), where he pursued concentrations in Strategy and Analytical Finance. He holds Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Finance from DePaul University in Chicago, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2005.
John joined the firm in 2012 as a project manager for several new storage facility acquisitions, and a year later became the third partner at HAN Capital. Before that, he was with TD Ameritrade as a new account sales specialist, bond analyst, resource desk specialist, and investment consultant. In 2010, John relocated to Chicago to manage several entrepreneurial ventures and soon after was accepted into the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he concentrated in Entrepreneurship and Managerial/Organizational Behavior and obtained his MBA in 2014. John also holds a Bachelor degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he graduated with honors in 2005.
Tony joined HAN Capital in 2013 after seven successful years as an Investment Executive at MB Financial Bank where he was ranked in the top three producers for four consecutive years. During his time with MB, he held a FINRA Series 7 and 66 license. Tony has skillfully represented High Net-Worth Investors, Private Family Offices, and Private Equity firms in real estate and operating business acquisitions. Tony graduated Cum Laude from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Marketing. He also attended Northwestern University for graduate studies and attained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Prior to entering the financial sphere, he dedicated his energy to ballroom dance. He was the 2004 US Amateur finalist and his last competition was in 2005 at the prestigious UK Open. Since then, he uses all his competitive strength to wrangle his three kids.
